Self-love is so important, as I’ve emphasized in some of my previous blog posts. Today, we’re going to talk about why self-love is important and how we can practice it more often.

Why self-love?

When we love on ourselves, we feel good. We feel motivated. We feel like we’re on top of the world. Self-love makes us unstoppable, and that’s why we need to practice it more often. When we love ourselves, we’re capable of living much happier, more fulfilling lives.

One way we can practice self-love is by celebrating our good qualities. I created the “10 Things I Love About Myself” worksheet to use myself and share with y’all. The exercise is simple: you come up with 10 things you love about yourself, write them down on the worksheet, and then stick your worksheet in a visible place you will look at often (your wall, above your desk, your bathroom mirror, etc.)

The things you put on the worksheet could be physical qualities, personality traits, or anything else you love about yourself. This is your worksheet, so it’s up to you!

Here is what I wrote on my worksheet:

  1. I am always kind to others.
  2. I am intelligent & driven.
  3. I am a great writer.
  4. I have a good fashion sense.
  5. I love my family.
  6. I am highly creative.
  7. I have many talents.
  8. I do my best to be a positive person.
  9. I am very hardworking.
  10. I am determined to make a positive change in the world!

That’s just an example. You should put the things you love most about yourself on your worksheet. Things that will make you feel great!

When you’re in a funk or just feeling down about yourself, you can look at your worksheet and remind yourself how awesome you are. Too often, we focus on the negative aspects of ourselves and forget about the positive. This worksheet won’t let you forget about the positive! You should always celebrate your amazing qualities, especially when you’re starting to feel bad about yourself.
